Several months ago I built two identical machines. One worked great. The other worked great *Most* of the time. I thought it might be an issue with the install, as a lot of my game files transferred from the old machine.

My issue was that the game would occasionally freeze or stop responding. Not often or consistently, but occasionally it would - a few times a week, and could be quite annoying. I noticed it far more when I alt+tabbed a lot.

I had 4GB of DDR3 memory. It turns out that one of the sticks had a bad spot on it. Memtest86+ detected it and consistently showed it in on the stick in all slots, tested one at a time.

I bought some new ram. It ran Memtest86+ without errors. And so far playing has been uneventful. I even ran in a BG raid on very high settings and DX10 without issue.

I wonder how many people have issues because of a tiny thing like this that only shows itself when the memory gets extremely full.
